The Thomas B. Jelke Foundation along with the Alumni of the FL Nu Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon are hosting this event to raise funds and awareness for these great causes. The foundation is a 501(c)3 tax exempt non-profit organization, and 100% of all proceeds raised by the Thomas B Jelke Foundation at this event will fund the following: First Generation Scholarships at FIU, The Buoniconti Fund's efforts to raise awareness and funds for Spinal Cord Injury research at the Miami Project, and First Gen Scholarships for members of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity at FIU.

FIU First Generation Scholarship

The First Generation Scholarship Fund supports FIU students who are the first generation in their families to receive a college degree. This program is the only one of its kind in the State of Florida to match private donations for first generation scholarships 100 percent. 

The Buoniconti Fund

The Buoniconti Fund is committed to finding a cure for paralysis resulting from spinal cord injury and to seeing millions worldwide walk again, the Buoniconti family established The Buoniconti Fund raises funds and awareness in support of The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, the world’s most comprehensive spinal cord injury research facility.

The Florida Nu Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon was founded in January of 1987.  Since their founding, SigEp has played a prominent role in campus life at FIU.  They have continued to develop prominent campus leaders in SGA, Peer Advising, Orientation Leaders, Student Alumni Association, and a dozen other organizations.
